Vietnam is an interesting place for all of people around the world want to visit and explore. Before you go there, make sure that you already know these things to make your trip better.
So here is really important for you to understand the country and people there:
1. Talking loud: Don't be upset if they talk a little bit loud to you, especially when you buy something like streetfood, they just make sure that you can hear what they say and... that is just culture. if they talk loud without a smile maybe you should think about saying "sorry" and go away. For sure all of countries in the world have good and bad person.
2. Say " hello, how are you" all the time: aha this is the most crazy thing and if you dont like to talk, it would be an annoying thing for you. when they say "hello, how are you" that means "hi" so what you need to do is saying "hi" again but the crazy thing is maybe they will say that again, again and again but just smile for that. The reason is they really excited about foreigner but they can't speak english, so if you don't like that just smile and go away or do something to show them that you are busy.
3. Crazy seller: Especially is street things seller, is you want to buy something, you should ask the price beforehand but if you don't, please don't even look at them. Remember to ASK THE PRICE BEFORE YOU BUY IT.
4. Wait in a line: i know this gonna make you really angry but keep calm, you just have to accept this point or you can also tell them if just only one person try to jump in but if they just mess up, so just play the way that you can mess up as much as possible, that's nice!
5. Stranger speaking: One of the best things there is people like to talk and love to be greeted, so never mind if you want to talk to every one if they can speak english, by the way dont be afraid if someone you dont know about come and talk to you but if you feel something wrong just stop immediately.
We hope you have a great trip, dont forget leave a comment below if you get some culture points there that make you shock or surprised.
