‘‘What can you buy with 1 euro in your country? – It’s hard to say, maybe a cup of tea, a candy or a bread’’ from that I can see that 1e is almost nothing in your country, maybe you will be happy because with 1e, you can buy a hundred things in Vietnam, by the way 1euro =27000vnd. In this blog , im gonna write about Hochiminh city because it’s average price, not too hight or too low neither. Let's continue if you still interested in this topic.
Let say we have dessert, main meal and street food or snack:
- Dessert:
+ Chè (Sweet soup): Vietnam is a tropical country so they can grow a lot of kid of fruits, so we can understand why there are a lot of sweet dishes appear in Vietnam. Che is a traditional Vietnamese sweet beverage, dessert soup or pudding . Varieties of Chè are made with mung beans, black-eyes peas, kidney beans, tapioca, jelly (clear or grass), fruit (longan, mango, durian, lychee or jackfruit) and coconut cream. Other types are made with ingredients such as salt, aloe vera , seaweed, lotus seed, sesame seed, sugar palm seeds, taro, cassava and pandan leaf extract. I would recommend these:
. Che co huoi- address: 57/21A ho thi ky, dist 10, TP. HCM. With under 1 euro.
. Che mam Khanh Vy- address: 242B su van hanh, dist 10, TP. HCM. Each pot just only 0,2euro.
. Che Hien Khanh- address: 718 Nguyen Dinh Chieu, District 3. This location serves many options of chè with beans and jelly. The most expensive here is 0,9e.

+ Flan: Crème caramel, flan, or caramel dessert is a custard dessert with a layer of clear caramel sauce, as opposed to burnt cream (or trinity cream) which is custard with an added hard clear caramel layer on top.

- Street food/snack:
+ Vietnamese pizza( banh trang nuong): if you are a fan of pizza, you must try this because it's really special, it's much smaller than normal pizza, has a lot of topping like babyshrimp, cheese, sausages, fried scalions, agg and butter, its base and the skin of springroll is the same so the base is supper thin, the base is grilled over hot charcoal then they put butter on its surface to become really crispy after that they put all of the topping on top, and the taste? -just amazing!
you can also see them around on many streets, you can try there if you don't have much time to go to some places i recomend bellow but don't forget to ask the price before order.

+ Cha ca vien chien: Its taste like fish, quid, shrimp... depend on what you choose. When you order, the seller will put a stick which has 3 or 4 pieces into hot oil and fried it. People usualy have it with chili sauce or thick black soy sauce and lemon tea with friend.

+ Banh mi: Banh Mi is not unfamiliar food in Vietnam for foreigner, it's also be in our previous blog ''dishes must-eat in saigon'', Banh Mi like a hamburger but in vietnamese style. Delicous, fast, simple and unique that's what i can say about banh mi, inside Banh Mi have: pork pie, pate, grilled pork, a few slices of cucumber, onion and fresh chili. You can see many places sell Banh Mi in the morning with a soft price around 0,6e-1e.

+ Grilled corn with oil and scallions: Popcorn and grilled corn are different of consistancy, they are made from corn but grilled corn is juicier, sweeter and little bit scripy if it's a litle bit burned, grilled corn is best when you have it hot, this is also one of the foods you must try in Vietnam because it's really nice and special taste.
. Recomend place: 159, phan xich long st, phu nhuan dist, hcm. They have a push-cart and sell it on the street, so the price is really cheap and you can also try the real street food feeling. Price: 0,3e/corn.

+ Dim sum: You can't miss this food when you travel to Vietnam because it's so delicous and has so many positive comments from foreigner about this food. Dim sum come from China but belive me, vietnamese make it really good as well. I will recomend you a place where is really close to the central of hcmc, the quality there is really good and they have a person take care you motobike ( if you go there by motobike) so you don't have to worry about where to park your motobike but the place, chairs and tables there is small because they are not a restaurant so the stuffs is smaller is better. You will get 3 pieces for 0,3e, they have many tastes like shrimp, quid,...so spend like 2e is great for an adult ( full). Remember that their working time is around 16.30-20.00.
Adress: 45, nguyen van lac st, binh thanh dist, hcm.

- Main meal: I will write down vietnamese name of these dishes because it's easier for you to order but don't worry, we will tell you what are their ingredients.
+ Com suon: it has grilled pork, steamy rice, special sauce, sour carrot, fried scalions, fried agg. I don't want to say ''it's delicous'' all the time but it is,'' com suon'' is also a favorite lunch or dinner of vietnamese and foreigner live in vietnam.
. Adress: 6 tran khac chan st, tan dinh, dist 1, hcmc. This place is the best choice compare with the money you pay, super affodable and the quality is really good, perfect amount but the bad point is they don't have big place so the style like street food and they just open in the afternoon.

+ Bun thit nuong: Grilled pork with sallad, pean nut, springroll all of these are cut into small pieces then mix with white noodle and use with special sauce, you must remember that ''com suon and bun thi nuong'' must use the special sauce with them, otherwise it will be so bad and tasteless.
. Price: 0,6-1e. Depend on where do you choose for it but you should choose places where it's small or even just a push-cart on some streets.
+ Fresh springroll: Boiled pork slice, shrimp, salad, peansprouts and white noodles then roll them like springroll, you also get special sauce for this. They usualy have fresh springroll in noon of afternoon, for trying them, you can order 2 pieces, to get full you should order 6 or more peices. It cost 0,22e/each.

. Adress: 6 tran khac chan st, tan dinh, dist 1, hcmc. This place is the same place with the dish above, they sell the ''noodle'' in the noon and the rice in the afternoon.

+ Bun bo hue: There are so many places are really good but for 1e i would recomend a place where you can find easily and best taste , not much foreigner know this place because it's not a restaurant and they just sell in the morning so not much people from another place go there just for breakfast neither. I have a foreigner friend who has lived in hcmc 4 year and tried many places which is double or triple price than this but he said '' this is the best i have ever tried''. By the way you can find Pho, Bun (noodles),...with under 1 euro easily also.
. Price: 1e- in fact, it's cheaper a litle bit.
. Adress: 6 nguyen cuu van, binh thanh, hcmc. The seller hire a part of a coffeeshop in the morning, so if you want to try, you have to go there erlier than 9.00 and not open on sunday.

So you can see that 1 euro is really valuable in Vietnam, you just have to spent 3e to eat for whole day with traditional dishes in Vietnam, what do you think about that? in fact, there are a hundred dishes in Vietnam that cost 1e or even cheaper but i just recomended the best for you here. If our blog make you want to come to Vietnam, please let us know to share the happiness, again hope our blog are helpful and we will be back with another topic.
